The owner of the aircraft, engine or component that is leased to an operator — responsible for the asset's long-term value rather than its daily operation.
Why it matters
A lessor's interest is in condition and records, but the data is produced by somebody else's organisation. Most lessor reporting is therefore a request, not a query.
