Engineering Order
An operator's own instruction authorising a modification, repair or inspection, usually translating a directive, bulletin or repair scheme into work the hangar can carry out.
Why it matters
An engineering order is where an external requirement becomes internal work. If that handover is a PDF and a phone call, the compliance record and the work record drift apart.
