The approval framework a CAMO holds today, introduced to separate continuing airworthiness management from the older Part-M Subpart G structure, with a management system and safety requirements of its own.
Why it matters
The change moved CAMOs from a checklist approach to a management-system approach: the regulator now asks how you detect and correct your own errors, not only whether the task was signed.
