Aviation glossary · Parts, stock and tradingCore

The unserviceable unit owed back to a supplier under an exchange, usually within a defined period and in a defined condition, with a financial penalty if it is late or unacceptable.

Why it matters

Cores are a debt denominated in parts. A fleet with untracked cores is carrying a liability it cannot quantify.

In AerSynx

Every core carries its deadline and condition terms, and aging runs on a schedule so the penalty is anticipated rather than invoiced by surprise. Core Obligations →
