Parts Manufacturer Approval
An FAA approval permitting a manufacturer other than the original to produce a replacement part, often at lower cost.
Why it matters
PMA acceptance is a commercial and contractual question as much as a technical one — some lease agreements restrict it, and that restriction has to reach the buyer.
