Configuration Deviation List
The approved list of secondary airframe parts that may be missing while the aircraft continues to operate, with the associated performance penalties and limits.
Why it matters
Unlike a deferred system defect, a missing panel has an operational cost attached. That penalty has to reach the people planning the flight, not just the record.
