The EASA approval held by a maintenance organisation permitted to carry out work on aircraft and components and to issue a certificate of release to service.
Why it matters
The approval defines scope: what the organisation may work on, with which people and tools. Work outside scope is not a paperwork problem, it is an unapproved release.
