Minimum Equipment List
The approved list of equipment that may be inoperative for a limited period while the aircraft continues to fly, with the conditions and the rectification interval that apply.
Why it matters
Every deferred item carries a deadline and conditions. The risk is not deferring — it is losing track of the interval, or applying the wrong category.
