The instruction authorising a defined piece of maintenance, carrying its scope, the cards beneath it, the labour booked against it and its approval status.
Why it matters
It is the point where technical work becomes commercial work. If hours are re-entered into an accounting system by hand, the invoice and the record stop agreeing.
